INTERVIEW TIPS IN KULIYYAH OF EDUCATION GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING

 

Hye, Salam to all! How are you guys doing today? I hope all of you are in a good health and always in Allah’s blessing. For today, I want to talk about how I get into Kuliyyah of Education Guidance and Counseling in IIUM Gombak. So today I want to help those who interested in furthering their studies in Counseling and desire to become a counselor in the future.

As for me, I am originally from Centre of Foundation (CFS) in IIUM. But the thing is, I’ve decided to change my program during my study in IRK program. So, to those who are already aim to get into Kuliyyah of Education, you must take an action early so you don’t waste your time and have to graduate late. But for me, I honestly don’t regret my decision even though I am a little bit late in changing my program.

Next, what I do to change my program is first, I fill in the Change of Program form. The form is in I-maalum website and then submit it. Then, I have to pay RM100 to finance because it is the terms and conditions to change your program. And after that, I have to wait until I got an email regarding my change of program. After a while, I got an email saying that I have to go to interview in order to get into Kuliyyah of Education. This time I’ve got nervous and doing preparation for the interview. The interview is made online. Actually, I am really worried about my internet connection and worried if my sound doesn’t clear during the interview but Alhamdulillah everything went well.

Here are some tips for the interview:

1.      Prepare and do some research about Counseling and Guidance.

We must have some information about the main point so that we know what we are talking about.

2.      Be presentable, have a nice and tidy look to show that you are ready.

3.      Be confident, answer politely, and be yourself.

Just answer the questions according to what you think is the best and what you know.

 

Based on my experience, I think the interviewers is not too strict and do not question about the guidance and counseling too much. Mostly they just ask about why do you want to study in Education Guidance and all that and ask about yourself. So, don’t be afraid and answer confidently! Hope you all can pass with a great result.
